My name is Brandy and I am an accredited lash artist in Edmonton, Alberta. I was trained by the owner herself, Levi Shephard of Boutique Lash Company, one of the few accredited lash academies in the country. I take pride in offering only the best for my clients, therefore, investing in a quality education and using only high quality products to ensure amazing, long lasting results.
Before becoming a certified eyelash technician, I was working two full-time jobs and had no time for myself. I was on and off with two jobs for nearly 8 years and I found myself exhausted. Since receiving my certification, I get to work from home with more time to spend with my loved ones. I now have time to enjoy the things I love like going out to eat and traveling the world.
This has truly been a dream job for me because I get to see my clients look themselves in the mirror and say, "WOW!" To know that you have the power to make women look and feel beautiful is such an amazing feeling. I love my job!
What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions is a service that enhances the length, thickness, and fullness of the natural lash. Individual synthetic eyelashes are applied to each natural lash with a specially formulated glue for a noticably, beautiful, and glamorous look!
How long do eyelash extensions last?
It's different for everyone as each person has a different natural growth cycle. Extensions can last up to 6 weeks but we shed an average of 4-5 lashes per day so fills are recommended for every 2 to 3 weeks to keep your lashes looking full and fabulous!
How long does it take to apply the eyelash extensions?
After your personalized consultation, cleaning and priming the lashes, applying the extension on each natural lash, it's about 1.5-2 hours. Most of my clients take a nap so you are literally getting your beauty sleep!!
What if I'm sensitive to the glue?
I recommend booking in a sensitivity test a couple days before your appointment to make sure you are a good candidate for eyelash extensions.
Can I wear make-up like mascara or eyeliner?
Yes, but it MUST NOT BE OIL-BASED OR WATERPROOF. The oil will break down the adhesive resulting in poor retention. Be careful when removing makeup as your cleanser needs to be water-based or oil-free.
How do I take care of my eyelash extensions?
Do not get them wet for 24 hours, no oil-based products, avoid sleeping on your stomach so your lashes don't get damaged, and do not rub or pull on your lashes.
